Taste Our Best – Chocolate Galley Provenance Statement

Carol started producing fresh chocolates in 2010 and added the Galley in 2015.

Fresh and innovative flavour combinations are very special to us and feature in many of the products we produce. We are proud to source wherever possible from the tremendous quality and range of Scottish products available.

The full sweet flavour of Wiseman double cream is used in our fresh chocolate ganaches, our own recipe ice cream and hot chocolate, fritattas and savoury tarts.

We use Wiseman creamy milk in all our milk related products and Wiseman salted and unsalted butter in most of our baking and anything sautéed.

Gloagburn free range eggs enhance all of our recipes which include eggs.

We use fresh strawberries and raspberries from Glen Lyon and locally picked blackcurrants when in season.

You can sample these in our fresh chocolates, tarts, blondes and chocolate fondue.

Many customers enjoy our classic black pudding from Greenock and Sweenies vegetarian haggis to celebrate Rabbie Burns.

Our smoked bacon is from Ayrshire and full flavoured cheddar from Lockerbie. And for the perfect accompaniment add Dalchonzie Farm fig chutney.

Our soups can include courgettes from the local allotment here in Auchterarder and foraged wild garlic also the main ingredient in our own pesto.

Hebridean sea salt is perfect for clever seasoning and enhances some of our chocolate recipes.
